The reason why this book is priced so low is because it is printed in French, and the first edition only contains the first two parts out of the eventual 4. Aside for the marginal conservation and the stains this copy is in very good condition. This suggests that the binding was likely reinforced otherwise they would not have removed and replaced the end papers. The blank end papers look like they were replaced.
First few pages have ink stains at the top as shown in the pictures. Title page margin was professionally conservated, not affecting text. The true first edition of the Autobiography was in French. The American Edition from 1793 was translated from this book. It was directly translated from this 1791 French book. The first English edition of 1793 is the first English edition, it is not the first edition.
